Frequently Asked Questions
General Care & Appointments:
-
What types of services do you offer?
We provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management, ketamine-based therapies, Spravato® (esketamine) treatment, addiction and recovery support, and Colorado medical marijuana evaluations. Services are offered as part of a thoughtful, medically supervised approach to care.
-
Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?
In most cases, a referral is not required. Some insurance plans may have specific requirements, which our team can help review prior to scheduling.
-
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit typically includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand your concerns, history, and goals. This allows your provider to discuss appropriate treatment options and outline next steps.
-
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. Telehealth services are available for certain appointments, depending on the type of service, clinical appropriateness, and state regulations.
Psychiatric Evaluations & Medication Management
-
What conditions do you treat?
Psychiatric care may support individuals experiencing mood concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, attention or focus difficulties, and co-occurring mental health and substance-related concerns. A full evaluation helps determine the most appropriate care.
-
Do you prescribe medication at the first visit?
Medication decisions are made on an individual basis following a comprehensive evaluation. Prescribing, if appropriate, is guided by clinical judgment, safety considerations, and shared decision-making.
-
Is medication the only treatment option?
No. Medication is one tool among many. Treatment plans may include medication, non-medication approaches, referrals, or additional services depending on individual needs.
Ketamine & Spravato® Treatments
-
What is the difference between ketamine and Spravato®?
Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved medication administered under specific REMS guidelines. Other ketamine-based treatments differ in formulation, regulation, and clinical structure. Your provider can help determine which options, if any, may be appropriate.
-
Is ketamine therapy safe?
When provided in a medically supervised setting with appropriate screening and monitoring, ketamine-based treatments can be administered safely for certain individuals. Safety is central to all services offered at our clinic.
-
Can I drive myself home after ketamine or Spravato® treatment?
No. Transportation arrangements are required following treatment sessions due to potential temporary effects on alertness and perception.
Addiction & Recovery Support
-
Do you offer addiction treatment?
We provide addiction and recovery support focused on safety, stabilization, and recovery-oriented care. Services may include evaluation, medication-assisted treatment when appropriate, psychiatric care, and coordination with community resources.
-
Is your approach abstinence-based?
Our approach is individualized and may include harm-reduction and recovery-oriented strategies. Treatment planning is guided by clinical assessment and patient goals.
Colorado Medical Marijuana Evaluations
-
Do you prescribe or dispense medical marijuana?
No. Our clinic conducts medical evaluations to assess eligibility under Colorado guidelines. We do not dispense or sell marijuana products.
-
Is certification guaranteed?
No. Certification is not automatic and is determined through a clinical evaluation in accordance with state requirements.
-
Is insurance accepted for medical marijuana evaluations?
Medical marijuana evaluations are typically self-pay and not covered by insurance. Payment details are reviewed prior to scheduling.
Insurance, Billing & Scheduling
-
Do you accept insurance?
We accept Medicare and certain commercial insurance plans. Coverage varies by service and plan. Our team can help review your benefits prior to your appointment.
